IGT Downtown 5K
Join us for the 34th Annual IGT Downtown 5K on Sunday, September 15th, 2024. Set in the heart of Downtown Providence, this is one of the oldest races in Rhode Island. Run through the historic streets of Providence and enjoy live music along the course. After the race, join us for an epic post-race party (details TBA).
Run Rhody Grand Slam
Looking for an extra challenge this fall? The Downtown 5K also serves as the first race in the Run Rhody Grand Slam, a four-race series from September through December. Select the Grand Slam bundle at registration and save on the Downtown 5K, Providence Monster Dash, Rhode Island Family Turkey Trot, and Downtown Jingle 5K entry fees. Complete the four-race series and earn the 2024 Run Rhody Grand Slam finisher’s medal as well as a Run Rhody hat!

9:00 a.m: Youth Races. There will be two youth races for boys and two races for girls for ages 1 to 5 (100 yards) and ages 6 to 10 (1/4 mile).
10:00 a.m: Downtown 5K start.

SAFETY
For safety reasons, please follow these safety rules. No pets allowed. Baby strollers are allowed for walkers only. Walkers must line up at the back for the start of the 5k.

PARKING
There are 4,000 parking spaces available at Providence Place parking lots. CLICK HERE for information on Providence Place parking.
Course Description
The 5k course and youth races will start and finish on Memorial Blvd in Downtown Providence. The 5K course travels through historic Downtown Providence past landmarks like the Rhode Island State House as well as the Providence River.
